Who is Ada Lovelace? 👩💻
Ada Lovelace (1815–1852) was a British mathematician and writer, widely recognised as the world's first computer programmer.
In 1843, Ada wrote a set of notes describing how the machine could be instructed to calculate Bernoulli numbers—this is considered the first published algorithm designed for a machine.
Ada understood that such machines could go beyond numbers to work with symbols, music, and language, anticipating modern computing long before it existed.
Thank you to the entire team for their dedication and hard work in making this project a tremendous success. Most importantly, it was great to work with our wonderful client, Exeter Science Park, on yet another exciting project!
We absolutely love working at the Exeter Science Park—it truly has a wonderful community.
